I just installed Easyblog on my Site and everything seems to work as expected - great!
But then I added about 20 users (w user group "registered" and a further one).
None of the users could be seen (and administrated) in the Easyblog user panel.
I expected the User Plugin to propagate every new Joomla user to Easyblog - what could I've done wrong?
Martin
Hello Martin,

This is odd.

Can you please provide us with the Joomla back end access as well as the FTP access so that I can check on the issues on your site?
We actually need these information so that we can debug on your issues quickly. If your site is hosted locally, could you please upload it to a temporary location for us to access?

Please be advise.
Thanks.

I was wondering why the new (temporary) user for your support was propagated to EasyBlog...
Obviously there has to be a minimum user role like 'author' to be propagated to the blog component.
Could this be?
'registered' only wouldn't work... as well as my special user group 'wein'.

Regards, Martin

Hello Martin,

First of all, we cannot access some of your settings.
Error
You are not authorised to view this resource.
Can you provide us with the required credentials, so that we are able to assist you on this issue more quicker.

Secondly, regarding "None of the users could be seen (and administrated) in the Easyblog user panel", each and every user registered in Joomla user which you have created need to use Easyblog's frontend login and after that only these users will be listed in Easyblog Bloggers. I believe you have created these user from the Joomla backend and that why this issues pops up.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi Mohd,
First of all thank you very much for your quick response and your support.
You are right - I created these users in the Joomla backend. This was necessary because I wanted them to be part of a special user group "wein" with specific privileges.
Those wouldn't be applied if they used the fronted login.
After granting them the "create blog" privilege in the Joomla backend those users appear in the Easyblog Bloggers panel as well.
That's not exactly what I intended to do but it works. Actually I wanted to use the blog only for registered users but they should only be able to leave comments - not creating blogs.

Ok, it works - you could close the ticket.

Thank you very much for your assistance!
Greetings from Munich,
Martin
