Hello Team,

we are on newest Joomla Version 3.4.7 and just started the EasyBlog Update with the newest EasyBlog Launcher version from 5.0.30 to 5.0.31 and process is stucked on Post Installation Cleanup Initialisation and hangs with 45%.
Hey Markus,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

We have started with our non-prod environment first that is 1:1 copy of production.

How can I provide you the access info separately?

Edit your post and include the site access under the "Site Details" section. Do not put it in the contents as others can see these information.

Hey Markus,

Thanks, I can't seem to replicate this issue. This is what I did:

1. Downloaded the latest launcher from http://stackideas.com/dashboard
2. Proceed to Extensions Manager and upload the launcher
3. Clicked on the Continue Installation button
4. Installation went smoothly.

Hi Mark,

thanks a lot.
Very very strange indeed.....I did exactly the same and not only once and it stopped at 45% with Post Installation Cleanup Initialisation every time.

I will test now and we will then promote to production page after functional testing

Hm, strange but let me know how this goes. If you hit the error, try repeating the same step again.

No idea what the difference is on my side when I am doing it.
Just now on production page exactly same experiences:
1. Downloaded the latest launcher from http://stackideas.com/dashboard
2. Proceed to Extensions Manager and upload the launcher
3. Clicked on the Continue Installation button
4. Installation stucked at 45% with with Post Installation Cleanup and hanging there forever.
See screenshot.

Cannot click on next step and navigated back to admin page and then back to EasyBlock and I am
being presented the first page of the Launcher.
I have then managed to run the installation process during second run.

So it is fine now ...but it was exact same problem again.
Never experienced this with previous EasyBlog versions

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tried to replicate this issue in your current site, but it run smoothly for the installation.

May i know which your current site still facing this issue? If you can replicate this issue again, can you follow my guideline before you update Easyblog?

#1. Go to backend > system > global configuration > server > Error Reporting - maximum
#2. Upload the Easyblog installer through Joomla installer
#3. Open your browser console (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/cBW4XLmCDGu )
#4. Then start installation.
#5. If stuck at 45%, try check my video here and see is it can see what is the error you hitting (follow my step, but you have to wait until the last request) : http://screencast.com/t/2MGUC95f

Keep us updated then.

Yes, I'm having the same issue, I'm not even able to get to 45%, usually stops at around 15 - 30%, I've tried multiple ways to upload this even via the directory and nothing works. Oh and I can't even access my blog as it keeps taking me to the installer ... which doesn't work

Hey there,

Can you start a new thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?
