`#__easyblog_trackback`

Hi.
Can you tell me what the table `#__easyblog_trackback` is all about?

I have it in all my sites with all sorts of erroneous and dodgy looking links in it, and whilst installing in a new site i have found a folder path

installation/sql with 21 sql files most of them starting with:

INSERT INTO `#__easyblog_trackback` VALUES ('2375', '2', '211.97.155.83', 'Hollister', 'A. M. Lyles – the manufacturer, publicis Hollister t and additiona http://fr-hollister.webpaper.co/ lly amongst the go on connections to make sure you Hollywood’s original many – comes with expired located at age 89. The person was first decades un http://italia-oakley.iconosites.com/ wanted for 1928 the moment the person given out', 'http://hollister-co.iconosites.com/page/hollister', 'Hollister AFB HJV http://fr-hollister.webpaper.co/ MA1Q H2X 27Z', '', '2014-08-14 19:58:33', '0', 'com_easyblog'), ('2376', '2', '211.97.155.83', 'http://www.vinotheek.be/hollister.asp', 'Suckas healthier know,Tommy Hilfi Tommy Hilfiger ger, considering that Takeshi Kitano might be spi Pandora Rings UK Online

is this something i should be concerned about please?

May i know what Easyblog version you using now?

Because in Easyblog 5.x onward no longer have this #__easyblog_trackback table.

I keep all my sites bang up to date with easyblog so they are all on the current version, i dont like the look of these links !

If you using latest version of Easyblog 5.1.13, by right it shouldn't execute anything from this table, perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

That is done for my own site, i dont blog very often on it but that database table is present on this site and every other one i have checked, most have some very nasty link entries in it. If you want cpanel access let me know

That strange, it seems like these following tables still exists on your site.

Can you try temporary rename these following both table and see whether you still getting those message?



ging_easyblog_trackback

ging_easyblog_trackback_sent


I suspect someway still calling this table.

These tables exist on every site i have looked at and all are latest version.
Sorry i dont know how to rename the table !?

You can try run following SQL query to rename that table name :



ALTER TABLE ging_easyblog_trackback RENAME TO ging_easyblog_trackback_OLD;

ALTER TABLE ging_easyblog_trackback_sent RENAME TO ging_easyblog_trackback_sent_OLD;

Perhaps you can check back your sql log and see whether it still generate this?

yep it is attached, it was inside a folder installation/sql (there were 21 sql files in here not all Easyblog but some were) that i extracted from an Akeeba backup of a different site to the above so that i could search all the files for a specific issue unrelated to this, i found this and obviously thought it might be an insecurity.

It does seem though that all my sites have these tables in them, is it anything to worry about?

Yes, you do not need to worry about these, what these SQL code is trying to insert new data into this table #__easyblog_trackback only.
