Hi there:

We are testing EasyBlog in our internal test environment before pushing it to our production server.

We seem to have an issue with our toolbar which was displaying up until today; it has disappeared.
It is activate - see screenshot.

Is there a setting that may have turned it off for the general public? We are not using any themes and did not touch any files or CSS.

Please advise,

Brianne
Hi there,

Maybe you can check on ACL settings as shown http://take.ms/zvYQZ and see how it goes.

If problems still persist, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues.

Hi Abdul:

Thank you for your reply.

We are testing this internally first before we push it to the general public so we would not be able to grant you access.

We don't see the toolbar under the ACL options as your screenshot shows - see mine.

Thank you,

Brianne

HI there,

May i know what version you are using? As those setting are added on our latest version that is on 5.1.x. If latest version, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend access for further check on this issues.

Please advice

Good morning Abdul:

We are running 5.1.8 -see attached

Would uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin help? Will we lose all our posts?

Thank you,

Brianne

Regarding uninstall and reinstall method it will not lose your existing blog post.

Actually that was known issue, can you try download my attached file and replace into this -> JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/views/acls/view.html.php

Then make sure your "access toolbar" ACL is enabled by public/guest user group from backend > Easyblog > ACL > public/guest user group > profile > access toolbar - YES > resave the setting again.

Hope this will help.

Hi Arlex:

We uploaded your file and it did not work.

We did however find that we have two blog menu items. One was no longer published (it was our old blog).
I deleted this one and emptied the trash and it worked.

I can see the Toolbar in the ACL and on the front of the blog.

Thank you,

Brianne

HI there,

May i know whether your issues already solved or not? Is it still shown for your guest? If yes, maybe you can try to disable that option for 'Public' user group and see how it goes.

If still persist, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues
