Hi there,

While testing the blog on our new website in production, it came to our attention that the EasyBlog subscription email field does not accept new TLDs.

We've tried subscribing with an email using the new TLD ".services" (e.g. email@company.services) and got the following field validation error message: "The email supplied is invalid. Please enter your correct email address."

Would it be possible to allow those new TLD for subscriptions? Especially since they are becoming more popular and their use will simply increase moving forward, we would love to avoid having visitors hitting this brick wall when subscribing to the blog if they have such an email format.

Thanks in advance for your help

Have a nice day!

Try download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/string/string.php and see how it goes.

Success, it works!

I assume it will be included in the next patch?

Thanks Arlex,
