With EasyBlog if a user is already subscribed but attempts to subscribe again the submit button loads a blank pop-up box. I'm getting this same result on 3 sites with EasyBlog installed. Shouldn't there be text in the pop-up box notifying the user they are already subscribed? This happens with both the subscription module and the envelope icon in the toolbar.

This site is using:
Joomla 3.6.8
EasyBlog 5.1.15
EasyBlog subscribe module 5.1.15

When you find a solution I have at least 2 other websites with the same problem. Please explain the solution so I can apply it to the others.

Thank you,
Richard
In addition to the above problem, I also noticed that the Subscription Agreement is not working either - on any of my EasyBlog websites. I have Settings > General > Subscriptions > Subscription Agreement > Require User To Agree Before Subscribing enabled on all sites, but it never displays when users subscribe by email.

Hey Richard,

This is actually a known problem and it has been addressed in EasyBlog 5.2. We need to wait for 5.2 because it requires the new compiled javascripts

Thank you. Do you have a rough idea of when EasyBlog 5.2 will be released? Is it days, weeks, or months from now?

Hey Richard,

It's definitely this month, once we run more internal tests as we are also waiting for more bug reports by customers who are testing them on a development site.

Perhaps you could / should try setting up a dev environment to test it out too?

Thank you, Mark.

If I find some time I might be able to test the beta also.

Bart,

I updated 7 websites to EasyBlog 5.2.3. The update fixed this problem on 6 of the websites, but one it still displays an empty alert box when attempting to subscribe again. I haven't figured out why that one site and not the others, although the install went amiss due to my mistake. I might try installing 5.2.3 again to see if it corrects any missing code.

The Terms of Service still don't display for new subscribers. I have enabled Require User To Agree Before Subscribing in Settings > General > Subscriptions and entered custom Terms. Is there another setting somewhere I can't find? Usually it some ACL setting that's the culprit.

Hey wecombine,

Can you start a new thread on our forums and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?

Hey Richard,

Are you referring the subscribe module? If yes, it seems like we missed up added this term and condition on the module, i will lock this issue into our issue tracker.

If the user click on that subscribe button on the toolbar, it should show that term and condition field, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Yes, I was referring to the Subscribe module not showing the terms and conditions field. Thanks for confirming Subscribe in the toolbar is working correctly, and adding the module subscribe to the issue tracker.
