It's adding both the category menu item's name and alias in the URL (that's odd and duplicating things)

Weird, the /entry in the url only can be happened if you choose url format for entry view that consist /view/ where most likely the default http://take.ms/ThD6W
Perhaps, can you give the access for this site?

You can add the information needed by edit your first post in the Details section or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

It's adding the Easyblog category name in the breadcrumbs (i don't want that)

I believe it is not redundant 'Joomla' menu, seems like it is the Author name append in the breadcrumb, can you check if you've disable the settings>layout>general>Display Author Name In Breadcrumb http://take.ms/qyPf7
