hi, i'm a Member of stackideas since over 3 Years and use Easyblog since there first Release. i can remember on EB Release cycles from max 3 Month..but these Releases cycles changed sinse the first Release from 2Month to 6Month! That means i have now to wait 6 month for the next major release of EB!? so I'm honestly not at all satisfied with this extended EB Release Cycles!!

EB Releases Cycles:

1.0.17 - 18.05.2010
1.1.06 - 23.07.2010
1.2 - 01.11.2010
1.8 - 02.02.2011
2.0 - 03.05.2011
3.0 Beta - 15.9.2011
3.5 - 18.6.2012
3.6 13043 - 28.9.2012
3.7 Joomla 3.0 - 29.11.2012
3.8. - 24.4.2013
3.9. - 24.10.2013
4.0 - 24.04.2014???
Recently the development of EasySocial has understandably slowed work on the other excellent components. Based on what I read being a close follower of the forums here, more frequent updates will be back soon.

Hello Rene,

We have more products now and we're actually in the midst of re-thinking the idea of updates for our products. I agree that the update process became a little slower compared to previously but we're working on the roadmap for EasyBlog as well once I get back from Boston.

Again, rest assured that we'll definitely pay attention to this

The ES Roadmap and Voices was an excellent innovation!

It would be great if the same can be done for all products including EB.

But I'm guessing this is the plan Any official confirmation?

Hello Adam,

When we were building the voices and roadmap, we did thought about this but let us experiment more with the current voices / issues / roadmap with EasySocial before making them available for all products

I thought that there were less major releases because the easyblog component is now mature and is all ready great at doing its job.

Release cycles are important. But now easysocial is here. Stable releases are most important. Before if there was a small bug in a release, most of the time as webmaster I saw it before the user's on my site. And you guys fixed it Now with easy social I have the same amount of users but the visits have gone up so when there is a small bug more people notice it. I know testing will slow things down so more testing is not the best idea. For me all is fine as long as you guys keep giving the best support !
