Previously working post cover images no longer work in category view: http://109.73.236.151/~harvard7/index.php/some

No longer working in post detail view:
http://109.73.236.151/~harvard7/index.php/hmi-blogs/from-digital-dinosaur-to-social-media-savant-hmi-s-new-adventure

Cover image does appears when post is viewed in editor.

Site went live Friday Oct 16 (same server no change other than redirected DNS) although this issue might have started shortly before that date.

I created a new post with the same cover (Digital Dinosaur) article. Cover still appears in composer (TinyMCE) but not elsewhere (category list or post details) except in the dashboard list on this page http://109.73.236.151/~harvard7/index.php/hmi-blogs/dashboard/entries.

I also tested creating a new post with a new small image uploaded to avoid conflict with max file size (even though image used previously was working fine).

I create a new post using the default editor - thinking the default editor selected might impact specific functionality. Same result as noted above.

EasyBlog version 5.0.26 installed (and previously working). This issue should not require updating since it was known tested working last week. I note a lot of forum posts about cover images in the last two weeks...although they relate to slightly different issues.

Your expertise would be appreciated in reviewing this matter.

Todd

One more note:

I turned on the post image placeholder in layout > in both "listings" and "category" tab and no placeholder appears. This tells me one of two things. Either a conflict exists or something is the core code/blog configuration is overriding both the image and the placeholder.

See the site details in my initial post for access details.

Hey there,

I've tried to access in your staging Joomla backend, but I hitting this pop up asked for authentication required.

Can you provide us with this login credentials?

Also when I tried to access in your live site backend, you provided that login credential is not working. Please advise.

Arlex,

I have been checking the status of the staging site with siteGround....and I have updated the admin information in the site details added to this post after siteGround fixed a problem with staging access.

Please see the new admin login information in siteDetails.

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

It seems like something strange on your site, because the image cover code is there, but it didn't show out.

Can you provide us with your staging site FTP access so we can troubleshoot on this?

I've tried to connect as you provided that login credentials in earlier, but I hitting this :

Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Hi, Arlex,

Thanks for the research....I thought something beyond the settings was part of the issue.

See FTP information provided in site details.

I could not find the area - part of my profile to store the full site information rather than in site details in each post. Could you direct me to the correct url to add/store my site details that could apply to all posts.

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

It seems like this might be a conflict with the template that you are using currently. The code that will generate the image is there as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/OiARJdRw but for some reason its not appearing on your frontend as there might be some extra element that hide the image. I will pass this issue to our designers and see if its related with css conflict or not.

Thanks for understanding.

Sure. I have not applied any updates to EB since the cover image was last known working - so the issue is not related to an interum update. I will however update EB With next 12 hours and reply when this step has been completed.
