Hello,

I've seen some strange things in my years of using Joomla, Jomsocial and EasyBlog but this one completely baffles me. I signed onto my site today and noticed that my author profile that shows up beneath my blog posts has conveniently deleted my bio and replaced it with a random comment from the JomSocial activity stream. So now instead of a nice professional bio my profile reads "Hi Barbara, welcome to the site!" To make matters worse, trying to update this in the Blogger profile on the backend is unsuccessful. It literally will not allow me to modify or remove that string of text. I even identified and removed the activity item from JomSocial completely and that didn't even work. I've created video that illustrates this issue.

Your help is appreciated.
Hello Joseph,

This is actually a new feature in EasyBlog I believe it's since quite a while ago. You can turn this off in the back end settings of EasyBlog under Integrations > JomSocial. The settings is " Use JomSocial status in blogger's page". You just need to turn them off

Ah, got it. Thank you for the clarification! This now makes sense as I see it was actually pulling from JomSocial status updates. This makes sense now.

Thanks!
