I cannot update my easyblog. I saw this post and tried to apply the same fix, https://stackideas.com/forums/checking-for-updates-not-working-in-eb

But when I looked at the constants.php file, I did not see the text you said needed to be edited.

Can you please take a look at this?
Hi Karen,
It seems you are trying to update from an older version(5.0.36). Do note that new versions of the installer have been released so you would have to download the new installer from your dashboard and install EasyBlog like a regular installation through Joomla installation manager.
Remember to backup your site and files before updating as a precaution.

I already tried to update from the most recent EasyBlog version by installing it as a new component through Joomla installation manager and it broke my site.

Is there particular version or type I should use? I tried both the full and the launcher 5.0.44.

It is really important that I get this site up and running.

Can you please advise?

Hey Karen,
If the new version broke your site, we would have to take a look at the issue and investigate this. In order for the investigation to not affect your live site, is it possible for you to clone your site so we can investigate the issue on a identical non-live/staging site instead?

Hey Karen,
I was able to access your backend the first time using the secure admin url. However, when I try to access the secure url a second time, it redirects me. Also, when I try installing EasyBlog, I encountered an error with cloudflare. Can you temporary turn the redirection off and set dev mode for cloudflare on the dev site so we can proceed with the installation? Thanks.

I've turned off the redirection and I am now investigating how we set dev mode for cloudflare.

Hey Karen,

Can you request with your hosting provider to help you increase your php memory_limit to higher e.g. 128M ? (check my attached screenshot below.)

Because the reason why it keep redirection is because your PHP server memory limit is not set to higher, the minimum requirement you have to set it to 64M for your PHP memory limit, but what my advise is set to 128M.

Once your hosting increase already, that installation will be fine.

The php has been updated.

Please let me know which version of installer I would use, as I have another registered website that needs this same update. (the full or the launcher 5.0.44).

Hey Karen,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I already manage to update your Easyblog to latest version on your live site, but I realised your Cloudflare cached all old script on your server, can you try clear your Cloudflare entire cache and see how it goes?

Keep us update once you have already clear the cache.

If you need assistance on this, can you provide us with your Cloudflare access so I can help you on this.
