Hi,
I'm using EasyBlog on my site, and I the Installed version is 3.9.15278, but it says the Latest available version is 3.9.16263. However, when I run the Updater, it always gets stuck at 10% and says "Error: Please enter the correct API key. You may generate it from http://stackideas.com/account/my-account.html." I've tried regenerating the API key at stackideas.com, but that doesn't help. I have successfully "saved" the new API key to Easy Blog, but even after that I still get the same error.

Thank you,
Kelly
Hello Kelly,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.
