We have a client that received 4 blog post emails for the same post. There at least 2 users that got 4 email notifications. The other users received one.
We are using the normal cron job for notifications and have never had this issue in over 4 years with over 200 sites (that we know of).
Is there any reason this may have happened?

Thanks
Hi there,

Strange indeed as we never encounter this multiple email send issue reported.
Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?
And to make us easier to trace the issue may I know which user that receive the multiple email and the title of the blog post?

You can add the information needed by edit your first post in the Details section or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

After doing some testing and talking to the client (who is the one publishing the posts) we think this may have been caused be them clicking the re-send button repeatedly because they did not see an email right away thus causing the multiple emails.
