Hello,
I'm using de latest blogs module on de homepage of rusland-colleges.nl It is set to showing the latest blog based on the dat of the last editing. The other option I find in the settings is the creation date. Both option are not suitable for my client. She usually produces a number of blogs, and later on decides which on to publish when. So, creation date is not an option. On the other hand she sometimes edits blogs that are published, and doing that causes this blog to show on the homepage in the module.
What I would like, is to be able to show the latest blog based on Publication date. How can I achieve that?
Thank you!
Ineke
Hi Ineke Huibregtse,

For your information, for the EasyBlog Developer license entitled 5 domains only for support. As you've mention above that the xxxxnco.nl does not using EasyBlog any longer, we have change it as you stated above.

Regarding your inquiry above, unfortunately there is no setting to change the date display. It is actually fall under customization. However can you try to download the attached file and replace it in the folder:
JOOMLA_FOLDER\modules\mod_easybloglatestblogs\tmpl\default_item.php
and see how it goes?

p.s: You're suggested to backup the file that you want to replace beforehand for precaution

Hello Fadhli,
Thank you for your quick reply. And thank you for changing the licenses.

My problem is not solved unfortunately. I think I didn't explain clearly.
The module is already displaying the publication date (I changed the date display earlier in an override).
It's the order of the blog items giving me trouble.

When an older item is edited, it moves to the top position in the module. I know, in the settings, I can also choose for creation date as the criterium for ordering, but that doesn't work because the blogs are often published in a different order. So I would like the ordering of the blog items according to publication date. How can I achieve that? I hope you can help!

Best regards,
Ineke

Hello Fadhli,
Thank you thank you thank you so much!
That is a great improvement. I completely solved my problem.
Will this feature be included in the next update? Or will I have to replace the file again then?
Best regards,

Hello,
I just discovered that the features above (being able to sort latest blogs in the module by publication date) were not included in the latest update. Ik had to replace the files after I updated Easyblog. I hope they will be included in the next update!
Best regards,
Ineke
