Hi

I have easyblog latest blogs module on the home page. The home page has modules on it that I don't won't to appear on the pages of the blogs when they open? What can I do about that?
Is there a way to control either where the blogs open or the modules that appear on those pages?

Thanks David
Hello Jellyweb,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I think i got what your issues now, is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend so we can help you configure of that?

If that is not possible, we will try our best to guide you how to done it that correct configure the setting from your backend.
First, if i'm not wrong, you're using this menu item "Articles & Blog" under the Easyblog frontpage layout
Second, GOTO your backend > Easyblog > Setting > SEO > Advanced setting > Select "Default" > save
Third, GOTO your backend > Extension > Module manager > Find "Easyblog latest blog post" > check my screenshot and see how configure the setting > http://screencast.com/t/JEGgQPyFBM
Fourth, Save it then go to your backend > system > Clear cache
Hope this help.

Hello Jellyweb,

If i'm not getting wrong your meaning, you can configure the setting from your backend > Extension > module manager > select your module > click Module Assignment tab > Module Assignment - only the pages selected ( http://screencast.com/t/PkxYw7d4 ), then look at the bottom menu item, which you don't want to show out then untick it.

If need further assistance, please provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you configure it.
Hope this help.

Thanks Arlex,

No sorry, I have done that. Just if I display the Easyblog latest blogs module on the home page, I want the links to open on there own page or pages. Not sure if it is possible as the blog isn't a menu item it is just a blog post. So it opening on the home page, where the module is displayed.

Is there a way to have control of the modules that show on a blog post that is shown when clicking the links in Easyblog latest blogs module.

Hello Jellyweb,

You're welcome
Actually i have a little lost here, correct me if i getting wrong your meaning here.
Do you mean that you would like to display the Easyblog latest blog post module in your homepage only right? When the user click on that blog post title link from the module, then you don't have to display that module in the single blog entry page right?

If no, could you mind explain 1 more time regarding your issues? Also, provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP accees? Please advise.

That is sort of it.

I have he module on the home page and the links open in the home page. I'm just checking if it is possible to have the links open on their own page without any other modules assigned?

Maybe if I don't use the easyblog latest blogs module and just use the standard joomla rss feed module to bring in a feed from the category blog page??

I'll try that but if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks

If you go to the home page. http://quitwithnick.com.au/

Scroll down to latest blogs, and click on one, sometimes the blogs open in the menu that has been assigned a blog category and sometimes they open up on the home page.

If they open in the home page and then you scroll back down to that latest blogs module again, the next time you click on it it opens in the blog& articles menu item.

This makes the site inconsistent and confusing.
