On all my pages at https://www.starch-smart.com/blog there is a module in the sidebar-2 position called Recent Bloggers that is displaying the second blogger in the list within a small column on the left hand side. Can you tell me what might have caused this. I just turned this module back on after upgrading to EasyBlog version 5.
This is actually not an issue with the tags stripping but there is characters truncation. I have configured the module so that the biography get's truncated at 200 characters instead

Hey Sean,

It seems like under Ken's biography there are some unclosed html tags which causes the layout to go messed up. I have applied some fixes in the file /modules/mod_easybloglatestblogger/tmpl/default.php and it works fine now

I will apply the same fixes internally.

Thank you so much Mark,

That was a HUGE improvement.

I removed anything that looked like garbage characters from his biography. But, for some reason his biography is now truncated after about 18 characters.

I had also experienced another problem with the module yesterday because there were hyperlinks in my biography that caused the div tables to go wonky. So, I just removed them to get the layout to look good. After your fix I decided to try to add them back. They layout is good but the URL is displaying instead of the text. ie. It should say "Sean Carney is married to Linda Carney" but it says "Sean Carney is married to http://www.drcarney.com

I would think that you should either display the text and have it be hyperlinked or strip the hyperlinks but still, of course, display the text.

I don't think this has anything to do with stripping tags. I believe your biography is being inherited from EasySocial but I am not sure as I cannot access the back end anymore.

Thanks Mark,

I think that the bio information is being pulled from the EasyBog settings. But, I could be wrong.

I edited if from the EasyBlog -> Authors ->
Then I clicked on the Authors name and clicked on the Blog Setting tab.

Not sure what happened to your password but I just reset it to what I am pretty sure I put in this ticket. Can you try it again?
