Hi,

I am running both EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss at http://storycatchersonline.org/

As far as I can tell, I have set them to integrate with each other. However, EasyDiscuss does not display the avatars (or any other info) for the EasyBlog users.

How do I fix this?

TIA - Jeff.

Hello Jeff Suddaby,

Do you mean that you would like your Easydiscuss avatar integrate with Easyblog avatar?
If yes, is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

Thanks Arlex,

Please see attached screenshot. Part of the problem may be that I have deleted, then re-registered the users... and maybe EasyDiscuss is still trying to associate the users with the ID's they were assigned when they FIRST registered... rather than the current ID's they ended up with, after I re-registered them.

Anyway, the Backend and FTP details for the site are the same, and I have appended them below.

Hello Jeff Suddaby,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have checked in your site, it seems like when you delete the user from your Joomla user manager, it doesn't delete the user from database.

What you can do is open the user rename the alias before you deleted that user from Joomla user manager, because i noticed when you added the new user also using the same alias name with your deleted user and see how it goes.

Hi Arlex,

I don't think I understand your instructions.

I tried changing the info for one of the existing users, "Wendy." On the EasyBlog "Bloggers" page I changed both Name and Username from "Wendy" to "Wendy S"
It did not have any effect. But maybe this is not what you were telling me to do...?

Hello Jeff,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have help you rename all your deleted the user alias name to "wendy2", can you check again the notice message is it disappeared already? If yes, you can go to your phpmyadmin and open this table #_discuss_users and delete which user you delete from your user manager. Hope this help.

Thanks Arlex,

The error messages have disappeared.
Sorry for all the trouble here, but I do not know how to access phymyadmin or how to delete the old users from the table.

Would you be able to delete the old-unwanted users for me...? and then check to see if the user avatars from EasyBlog are also appearing in EasyDiscuss?

TIA - Jeff.
