Having some issues with installing EasyBlog 5.
Sometimes it installs successfully, but other times when using the Launcher after an apparent successful installation I noticed the Latest Blog module truncation does not work. It shows the entire article on the home page no matter what settings we choose. Also noticed that one of the buttons in the module settings is missing. The "Show Content" button in Post Attributes is not there. Re-installation does not help.
Also having issues installing the full component manually. After uploading it the file it looks like it's installing it but then after a a minute or so just stops like nothing happened..no error messages or anything. The weird thing is that I have successfully installed it a few times before this way.
I have tried installing other extensions with no problems, only the EasyBlog component doesn't install. Not sure if this is related to the large file size but I have the my upload file size set high enough to handle it. I can use the launcher to install but then the latest blogs module doesn't work properly.
Any ideas to what might be going on.
Hey there,

The ftp access which you have provided earlier doesn't seem to be working. Anyway, can you try to download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/modules/ and see if the problem still persists?

If the problem still persists, can you please provide us with the back end and FTP access to check on this?

Hello,

May I know the value of your upload_max_filesize. As for the module, I believe the issue is not related to installation. Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here?

The upload_max_filesize is 64M
On this site I got the component to install but again I cannot get the truncation to work on the Latest Blogs module. It set for 350 characters but shows all the content and it appears that a button is missing in Post Attributes (Show Content).
Here is the FTP access for this site:

Hey Nep,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Thanks for getting back to us your installation is working fine now, can you provide us with your Joomla backend access in `Site Detail` tab below? Because inside the tab only our moderator can see the site detail. Screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/TzxRnvo0

By the way, may i know your existing post is using which editor?
If you using using Easyblog build-in composer, the truncation setting you should set from this part -> check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/lj038S2IsZ

We are using the JCE Editor. Keep in mind that we have done several other updates with the new Easyblog without any issues. This problem started just recently in the last 4 or 5 updates. The settings we are using are exactly the same as the other successful updates, we haven't changed anything in the way we install the update or create the settings.
I have all the settings set to truncate the module but I still see the whole article with the "Read More" showing.
