Hmm i didn't see any sample blog article link you provided
By the way, I have checked in your 2 blog post, it seems like if you're insert the blog image, then it will show the lightbox ( http://www.lamlashgolfclub.com/lamlash-golf-club-blog?view=entry&id=2 )
if you're insert normal image, i think you have to set enable lightbox pop-up from your media manager > select image > customize button > enable lightbox
