On our EasyBlog-powered news site, we set all our blogposts to be viewed by MOST RECENT FIRST. However, I want to change one specific category to post articles in a specific order that is not date-driven, but presented in the order we determine.

If this were Joomla, we could simply re-assign this at a MENU level, then, drag-and-drop articles in the order we want. I would rather keep this information IN EasyBlog, so the formatting and UX is harmonious with the rest of our site.

Is this possible using EasyBlog? If so, how?
Hello John Coonen,

You're welcome.
Yes, you can configure the setting from your backendAdministrator/EasyBlog/Layout/Ordering/
but unfortunately that was not possible set for specific category ordering in the setting you mentioned above, because the ordering option is controlled the frontpage ordering and including single category layout.

Hope this help.

Hello John Coonen,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Correct me if i getting wrong meaning of your requirement, do you mean that you would like to show one of the specific category post when the user view it on the blog frontpage?
If yes, you have done it in 2 ways :
1. You can create a new menu item type "Single category layout", then select which category you want to show it only.
2. You can go to your backend > menu item > select which menu item is under Easyblog frontpage layout > click Advanced tab > Categories - set which specific category you want to show it only.

If no, can you elaborate more details on your requirement here? Please advise.

Thank you Alex. I want to do this, specifically:

I have an EasyBlog Category, called "Events." here: http://cmsconnection.com/events

Currently, to my knowledge, there is one "Master" toggle switch which determines how the articles (blogposts) are displayed in EasyBlog. This toggle switch is located here: Administrator/EasyBlog/Layout/Ordering/
Frontpage Posts ordering:

Blog post creation date
Last Modified, Blog Post Title
Blog post hits
Publishing Date

Frontpage posts order sorting:

Descending
Ascending

I want to re-arrange the articles in the EVENTS category, based on my own Admin-controlled order, rather than this particular category following the default order like above. Can I do this?
