i cant find where to translate the email notification title 'new blog post - ...'

You can go to this file: ../language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easyblog.ini and change translation for this string: COM_EASYBLOG_EMAIL_TITLE_NEW_BLOG_ADDED_WITH_TITLE. Hope this helps.
