- I login to TorontoHiking;
- I click the Edit icon on right-hand side (the pencil) and then click "Edit Post" from the options menu;
- I get a window with the title "Draft Already Exists" and see 2 links: 1="Edit Draft" and 2="Discard Draft and Edit Current Post" as in the photo attached;
- If I click "Edit Draft", I get the Blog editing window and I can write the changes in that window;
- Then I click the button that says "Update Post" in the right column, but the website does not save any changes;
- Also, the site takes me to this web page: https://www.torontohiking.com/tohi/easyblog.html after when I click "Update Post" form the Blog editing window, but it should take me back to the post I was editing;
- If I click "Discard Draft and Edit Current Post", the website does not do anything, but before it used to take me to the Blog editing window, where I could write the changes and then save them by clicking "Update Post" in the right column.

Hi there,

Could you provide a bit more information on where this setting is located on the site and how to delete it? Is it within Joomla?

You can change them on your configuration.php files. Maybe you can consult with your current web hosting service provider regarding this for more details.

Please advice.

I submitted your response to my site host (siteground) and they replied:

Thank you for contacting our Help Desk.

This is achieved quite easily - the setting is inside your configuration.php file located in:

Code:
/home/jackc515/public_html/tohi

I updated the URL in it to include the HTTPS prefix:

Code:
public $live_site = 'https://www.torontohiking.com/tohi';

So you can now log in the backend of Joomla and confirm that the URL has been updated accordingly and present this information to the plugin developers.

So now does this solve the problem? And thank you for all the time you have spent on this issue. You guys are always amazing.

Hi there,

It seems that your site still redirecting without any success even though we have changed you those prompted steps on my previous reply.

We also check further on your site and seems that all 'ajax' call are not working and it kept redirected wrongly on your site. We tried to compare them on our local and your site, those result I got from your site is "html" instead of "ajax". And those response also need to go through index.php file but it failed to do so, it means something are wrong with the server configuration that causing it to redirected.

So we suspected that this issues are caused from the server itself. Can you provide us with your server access for further check on this issues or maybe you can ask them regarding this, maybe they have a better view of what we facing right now. By the way, maybe there are some changes done on your server recently that you could remember?

Let us know so that can have better ideas what wrong on your site. Please advice.

I have sent your reply to SiteGround support for action on the server misconfiguration. I had Siteground transfer my site from Servint to SiteGround inn April 2018, so this may have been a problem since it was moved.

I will also send you my server account settings so you can access WMS and cpanel but I don't know how to send them confidentially in this post so I'll send in a new ticket. Sorry about that.

Here was the reponse from the site host:

I believe I managed to resolve the issue - it was caused by the .opcache folder which stores cache data as a result of the operation of PHP 7.0 which is processing your website scripts.

After I emptied it, i.e. cleared PHP cache the post is saved correctly now:

http://nimb.ws/8MEkp4

Please clear your browser cache and run further tests:javascript:void(0);

https://www.siteground.com/kb/how_to_clear_cache_in_firefox_internetexplorer_safari_opera/

I also updated the Live URL to public $live_site = 'https://www.torontohiking.com'; (without the subfolder /tohi)

Should you need our further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us back at anytime.

It seems to be working now. Thank you
