Hi folks

I've upgraded to 5.2.1.

A quirk which I have discovered in this version is that it doesn't seem to like it when the site is closed (ie "Site Offline" in Joomla admin).

Trying to view a post from within J Admin, or post/preview after creating a new post, takes me to my public closed page.

Is this right? The previous version seemed fine in this area. I want to be able to add posts in advance of re-opening my site in the next few weeks.

Thanks
Paul
Hey Paul,

Hm, in the previous version, when you preview it is also rendering the front end of your site. Perhaps previously you were also logged into your site on the front end while your site is offline.

What you could do is to login once on the front end, and click on the preview to preview the post. As long as you are logged in as a super admin, you should be able to view it.

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for your response. I tried that too... but strangely, the "closed" page which is pulled up after trying to view an EasyBlog item doesn't have the CSS, and doesn't accept logins.

I traced it to SH404SEF. It appears that a site switched to Offline but with SH404SEF still on, causes the issue. When I disabled SH404SEF, EasyBlog worked as expected.

Cheers,
Paul

Ah, I see. Thanks for sharing this Paul and glad that you managed to find the root cause of the problem.
