I have a few questions:

1. Blog posts are not displaying blog titles on main-page. Where can I change this?
2. Featured blog post used to show the first image of the blog until the new update. I don't want all blog posts to show an image on the main page, only featured post. Where can I change this back?
3. I am having much trouble with subscribing to RSS feeds. When I do, they come over with no title and the oldest post showing first and the newest showing last. Also, some show the correct character display and a 'continue reading' button and others show a few characters and no button. How can I get all imported blogs to look the same?

Best,
Will
Hi Will,
Blog posts are not displaying blog titles on main-page. Where can I change this?
I have helped you enable the 'Show Post Title' setting in Settings>Views>Frontpage Layout(http://take.ms/xxLkB) so post titles should display properly now. Previously this setting was disabled.
I don't want all blog posts to show an image on the main page, only featured post.
This setting actually determines if content images should be displayed on the frontpage(http://take.ms/6VgUe).

But if you want to limit this to featured posts only, then you can either add post cover for those posts(http://take.ms/ZPg84), or use the readmore block to separate the content which will display images before it(http://take.ms/t0JjZ).
some show the correct character display and a 'continue reading' button and others show a few characters and no button
I noticed your imported blog posts are using legacy editors while the other manually created posts are using EasyBlog's built-in editor. If that's the case, you have to make sure the truncation value for both types of editor is the same(http://take.ms/1hOyk).

It looks like there are blog titles now and the posts are ordered by latest to oldest(http://take.ms/cfMqf).

Raymond,

2. Adding a 'post cover' works for the front page display but can I then have a post cover and have it not show on the blog itself? So it shows on the front page but not the blog itself.

3. I deleted and readded the RSS and they are importing properly besides two things. Blogs 'Adopting Policies From One Industry To The Next' and 'How To Be A Good SkyRun Neighbor' have the wrong text in them. When I click on any of the imported blogs, it sends me to an error 404 page.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

2. Adding a 'post cover' works for the front page display but can I then have a post cover and have it not show on the blog itself? So it shows on the front page but not the blog itself.

Do you mean you do not want to show image on this single entry blog post page?
e.g. https://nederland.skyrun.com/blog/adopting-policies-from-one-industry-to-the-next-1-1

3. I deleted and readded the RSS and they are importing properly besides two things. Blogs 'Adopting Policies From One Industry To The Next' and 'How To Be A Good SkyRun Neighbor' have the wrong text in them. When I click on any of the imported blogs, it sends me to an error 404 page.

i believe the reason why you hitting 404 page is because you trying to access that blog post which already under trashed, when you trying to import again that blog alias show differently now which is https://nederland.skyrun.com/blog/adopting-policies-from-one-industry-to-the-next-1-1

By the way, can you try change this category alias to dash from your skyrun.com site? e.g. vacation rental travel industry news to vacation-rental-travel-industry-news

Arlex,

2. No worries I figured it out. Thank you.

3. That works. What about the first part of the question? Why are some of the blogs importing the wrong content?
Blogs 'Adopting Policies From One Industry To The Next' and 'How To Be A Good SkyRun Neighbor' have the wrong text in them.

Hi Raymond, how did you achieve this (below), as I have the same issue:

2. Adding a 'post cover' works for the front page display but can I then have a post cover and have it not show on the blog itself? So it shows on the front page but not the blog itself.

Thanks,
Nicola

Hi Nicola,

If you want to show the post cover on the blog listing but not in blog entry page, you can try disabling this setting in the entry view section: http://take.ms/V9318

Thanks, that worked, and I also applied the same setting to Frontpage so it didn't show them in the standard blog listing of latest blog posts view.

I don't quite understand how this doesn't hide standard images which are in standard posts, but anyway, it works, and standard images are displayed in standard posts as normal.

Hey Nicola,

Glad to know the setting works for you.

If you want to hide standard images, you can just remove it from the post since no one can view it anyway.
