Hi. I'm not able to activate the Easyblog Composer or see the Blocks in order to add them.
To use the new editor, you need to go to Settings > General > Composer and change the editor to the built in composer editor.

However, please take note that if the article was written with a normal WYSIWYG editor prior to your upgrade, you will not be able to see it as the way we render the editor is different with the built in composer editor.

it is active. screenshot attached. It wont display the editor even though it's selected. I've read through a few posts here and everything seems to be set up as instructed but not working the way it should.

also, this was a fresh install of the latest Easyblog. there was no upgrade.

I just tried to click on the "New Post" button and the composer is loading correctly, http://screencast.com/t/Nit7tMWwpT

I believe you have initially created posts with a normal WYSIWYG editor and this is why the composer isn't loading.
