Hi

The EasyBlog Category module - item ordering and alpha does not work. It is in reverse alpha. Please see screen shot. I found a post with a help.php file but it broke my site. I appreciate the help. I am on Version 5.0.30
Hey Dita,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I just checked your site and the module is configured to order by "Item Ordering" instead of "Alphabetically". What issues do you have with these settings?

I have configured it to use Alphabet sorting and it's showing the categories correctly.

The parent items are sorting correctly but the sub categories are not. If you look at the parent "Colorado Springs Business Offers: the sub categories start with "Transportation" and end with "Arts and Events". This is not how I have ordered them in the backend and they are not in alpha order:

Transportation (0)
Things to Do (0)
Technology (0)
Spas and Salons (0)
Shops and Galleries (0)
Places to Stay (0)
Parties and Weddings (0)
Moving and Storage (0)
Insurance (0)
Health Care (0)
Gifts (0)
Florists (0)
Fitness (0)
Financial (0)
Eat and Drink (0)
Care Packages (0)
Car Services (0)
Attorneys (0)
Art and Events (0)

Hi Dita Dau,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I've added a fix on your site and now the sorting is working correctly in your EasyBlog's categories module. Below is the file I've modified:

JOOMLA/modules/mod_easyblogcategories/helper.php

The same fix will be added into next release of EasyBlog as well.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Dita Dau,

Strange. This is what i see at your site now. Please see attached image.
Can you try to clear your Joomla cache and browser cache and see if that work for you?

Please advise.

Gosh, I don't know what to say. I cleared Joomla and Browser cache on FF and Chrome. No Luck. I deleted the module and recreated it. No luck. My screenshot is attached. I still see the reversed alpha on FF and Chorme.

I am so sorry!!!! I made a copy and and I was on the domain TravelUSAFA.com. Same files different domain. I downloaded the file you uploaded to JOOMLA/modules/mod_easyblogcategories/helper.php then uploaded to new domain. All works great! Thank you so much for your patience with me. Again sorry for the silly user error! My fault! Thank you for confirming the actual domain.
