I have the "Excluded User Id's" field set to include the ID of the admin account. The Categories page is showing the user name of my admin account even though a) it is in the exclude list and b.) there are no posts authored by this ID.

This is a serious security flaw in that you are giving out the User Name of the Superuser!
If you have excluded the user from appearing from the listings, their posts should not appear. If it is still appearing despite excluding it, then please provide us with the access to your site to help you to look at your setup.

We provide you the ability to configure if you want to display the name or username for the authors. These settings can be found under Settings > Layout > General

I'm not referring to posts, I'm talking about the user ID/name itself. The "/blog/categories/' page has a tab for "Active Authors". The admin account is displayed despite the fact it has no posts. The name is shown and the link is /blogger/<superuser-id>.

Hey Kathy,

The "Excluded User Id's" field is actually exclude those user from the blogger listing page instead of category page "Active authors" tag.

As long as any author created blog post under that category, it will show the author name from the category page `Active Author` tab.

I would suggest go to this `Superuser` edit profile page and change his permalink to be another name.

You can refer on my attached screenshot below. Hope this will help.
