When I am creating a blog article, I have learned that if I try to add a hyperlink, and I receive a pop-up box indicating an error, it means that EasyBlog automatically logged me out of my site. Then, I have to copy what I've typed, because EasyBlog is NOT autosaving my article.

Why is this and how do I keep from being logged out in the middle of creating an article?
Hey Michael,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi there. Give me a couple minutes. I was right in the middle of getting this blog article out. Thanks for the quick response. If I respond to this post when I'm ready, will you get a notification?

In addition to this problem, look at the attached photo. I can not add hyperlinks into author bios, and all formatting is removed.

Just had another blogger loose an article because it automatically logged her out. Also, I liked the CRM customer support better - It seemed my issues got addressed immediately. I thought I was entitled to priority support? or have you gotten rid of that and everyone gets in a cue on the forum?

Hey Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of our reply as we are actually a little overwhelmed currently. By the way, I am not really sure how to reproduce the auto logging out issue. I just tried to login to the site to create a new post but didn't get logged out upon posting a new post Can you please advise?

By the way, the response is a little slower because we are still facilitating the transfer of everyone from the helpdesk to our forums We still have customers posting on our helpdesk and we are trying to push them to the forums (Not an easy task considering that the helpdesk has been serving us for the past 5 years).

Mark,

Okay, we'll I don't know how to explain it either. Here are the other issues I have experienced in the last 24 hours:

1. I can't add hyperlinks into bio's. For example if I want a small paragraph, and at the end, I have "read more" I can not link read more to a new page. After I click submit, all formatting is stripped.

2. I just received an email that one of my authors published their article. When I clicked on the "View Post" button in the email generated from EasyBlog, it took me to a 404 error page. When I go to pending/review posts, their is nothing there.

3. When I am working on an article, and I save as a draft, it does not show up in my drafts section. Please login from the front side, create an article and save it in drafts to see what I am talking about.

Thanks

hey Michael,

I am really sorry that missed up this thread, please find your answer in your queries below.

1. I can't add hyperlinks into bio's. For example if I want a small paragraph, and at the end, I have "read more" I can not link read more to a new page. After I click submit, all formatting is stripped.

I have help you enabled this setting `Enable WYSIWYG editor for biography` from backend > Easyblog > layout > general , can you try my instruction below and see how it goes :
#1. Go to your edit profile page, make sure you copy all of your author existing biography content and put in another page for backup
#2. Leave short biography empty > then save
#3. After save, then put back the content, then reassign again hyper-link > then save again

2. I just received an email that one of my authors published their article. When I clicked on the "View Post" button in the email generated from EasyBlog, it took me to a 404 error page. When I go to pending/review posts, their is nothing there.

I have help you update to latest version of Easyblog 5.0.21, then I tried to publish a new blog post, it work fine now when I click on the "view post" button from email.

3. When I am working on an article, and I save as a draft, it does not show up in my drafts section. Please login from the front side, create an article and save it in drafts to see what I am talking about.

Draft version is located on revision dashboard page, check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/v2B4fcFF6K
Hope this help.

Hello Arlex,

All formatting is still being stripped from the bio, and I can not add hyperlinks. If you try it out and click save, go back to the bio area and youll see nothing got saved.

Arlex,

Another completely different blog author just notified me that when they tried to save the article for working on it later, it wouldn't save. I had him copy and paste, and save it on his computer. He closed out and searched for it in revisions and drafts, and did not see it. When I went into the back end, I also did not see it.

When I logged in as him and went to create a new article, I saw his article appear in the posts section. Please fix to be:

1 - When you save an article because you are working on it, it should go into your DRAFTS folder
2 - In the overview page, you should see your drafts
3 - Like previous EasyBlog, there should be a red circle alerting you of articles you are working on
4 - When you click on SAVE, it should close the window

Can you download the attachment below and place it inside your /administrator/components/com_easyblog/controllers/ folder and see how it goes?

Thank you for your kind feedback and suggestion. I will forward this to our developers and hopefully they can do something about it.
