Hi,

I think I messed up the site a bit with sh404. This is what's happening:
When I enter my site with the usual url (see site details) I can't see the modules that are published on selected pages only. Would I publish them on all pages, I can see them.

When I press the home button this is added to the home url: EasyBlog/Latest.html and everything shows up fine (all the modules). So I should actually enter the site with http://www.myurl.com/easyblog/latest.html to load everything correctly.

When I turn of sh404 it all works when entering the page.

Is this something that has to do with the easyblog settings in sh404 or is this the sh404 component? They can't seem to help me...and can I hide the 'easyblog' in the url?

Thanks!
Hello Elvira,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
If I'm not getting wrong your issues, do you mean that you would like display like this URL when you click on the article
http://www.johnny-cash-infocenter.com/johnny/articles/entry/johnny-cash-pete-seeger
instead of
http://www.johnny-cash-infocenter.com/entry/johnny-cash-pete-seeger
If yes, I have help you configure the SEO setting to default and set category. entry ignore to NO. Check my screenshot below.
Hope this help.

Hi Arlex,

You can do whatever you need to do . Yes, it's the slideshow module. Also the 'notification' module of easysocial. I had some others too but I assigned them 'to all pages' to test. So right now it's those two modules.

Hi Arlex,

Yes I know this. That's what I said in my first post (click home again). But if I turn of component sf404 it works ok! So don't think it's the template but configuration of sf404?

I do see this in my menus:

Menu_Item_Root (Alias: root)

Home (Alias: home-index)

Would that perhaps cause the problem?

Hello Elvira,

I have re-check again, it seems like your slideshow module already appear in your homepage without select show all the page.

Did you configured by yourself? Please advise.

Oh our responses seem to have crossed, I just typed this:

Oh I just noticed something else. I now have 404sef turned off. I think I'll just uninstall it, cause its causing all kinds of problems.
But I do the following:
Under 'about johnny' go to aricles (which takes you to easyblog category)
Click on any article. You'll see its takes you back to the homepage and there the slider shows up again. So I turned sf404 off, and should be back to joomla settings. What can cause this?

Last update: I removed the sh404sef component and everything in the database. The only problem for now is that the easyblog articles don't show correctly, as explained in my previous post.

Hi Arlex,

I like what you did. I don't know what you did, but it's working like it should! The pages aren't showing on the frontpage anymore but in the category and under the menu item where they are supposed to be. Thanks!
