I am using EB and ED on my site as the main focus. And i am using Joomla registration. Is there a way for me to limit who create blogs using joomla registration?
Hey Will,
I am sorry but unfortunately right now it's not possible to do this. The only way to restrict which users are allowed to post blog posts is via the ACL in EasyBlog.
A workaround that I would suggest you to do is:
1. Restrict anyone from posting blog posts by default.
2. For trusted users, assign them into the 'Author' Joomla user group and give privileges to this user group to post new blog posts on the site.
a great idea. Thanks. also, i know earlier i was using easysocial but i no longer am for this project. But you gave me a code in easysocial to help with a glitch/messy loading look in mobile devices. Is there anything i could use similar to that in easydiscuss?? Would be very helpful, easydiscuss loads the same as easysocial in mobile devices. Easyblog loads great
Well i asked you about a week ago to help with the glitch and the deform look on mobile and you forwarded me to an existing post about a fix for this in easysocial
Hm, do you mean the one at http://stackideas.com/forums/deformed-site-on-mobile ? This actually fixes the layout when the page is being rendered but I tested your site on a mobile device and it seems to be fine eh?
that would be amazing for my site. And what about for easysocial? The same problem is worse with easysocial and will not be able to fully start my community until that is fixed. Any updates on that?
If you follow the guide from the other thread, that is the only work around currently. Do take note that this is not something that we can fix because of the complications from Joomla extensions and templates
