Under the EasyBlog Integrations tab, I display the following message...

EasyDiscuss comment plugin is not installed.

The popup comment window says something about an EasyDiscuss comment plugin...

I am at a loss as to where that is located...
Hi John,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

In order to use easydiscuss as comment system on your easyblog you need to install easydiscuss comment plugin first where you can download the plugins from our download section here, http://stackideas.com/downloads . By the way it seems like the provided credentials is not permitting me to access your easyblog and easydiscuss components as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/b90dbIAc

We appear to not have a common understanding of the problem.

I have EasyDiscuss installed.

I have EasyBlog installed.

There is an EasyBlog integration setting that says I need to have EasyDiscuss installed.

The downloads link points to 2 different zip files of Joomla modules and plugins that are available.

Which is the CORRECT file? You provide no description or index. Your vague reference to an easydiscuss comment plugin is meaningless as there is NO file name that equates to the vague description....

Hey John,

Sorry for the confusions earlier. This is what you need to do:

1. Go to http://stackideas.com/downloads/plugins
2. Download the package for "All EasyDiscuss Plugins".
3. Unzip the archive.
4. Upload the file plg_easydiscuss_content.zip via Joomla Extensions Manager.
5. Publish the plugin.
6. Revisit the setings in EasyBlog again.

You are most welcome John By the way, why don't you use Komento? It's a much more intuitive comment system

I experimented with Komento but was not satisfied with the interface and the interaction between EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss. And, I had a spammer insert some code into a comment that caused me some grief.

If EasyBlog had the same ability to attach files and links like EasyDiscuss, I would phase it out and shift to EasyBlog.

I am looking at some site re-design and may take another look at Komento.

Hey John,

Thanks for the heads up on this. I would strongly suggest that you consider using Komento as we don't really want to bloat up EasyBlog even more by adding more functions into the commenting area. If people are looking for a more sophisticated comment engine, we suggest going with Komento instead.

I haven't given up on Komento. It is a back burner project and I am watching for interface improvements.

Hello John,

Thanks for the feedback. We will bring this to our designers and see if they can improve it.
