Hi, we were wondering if there is a way for our users to select 3 subjects that they are interested in and then for the top posts in those subjects to be shown on their mini feed?

Correct me if I'm wrong, did you mean the user can select particular post to be on the top of their blog listing page? If so, it is not possible with Easyblog. We have feature blog post which is a bit similar to your requirement but it is not for specific user.
