Firstly I'm sorry if I come across as really negative in this post. I know you guys have put a lot of effort into EB 5 but I confess, I am having trouble getting used to it and liking it.

- If I save a post as a draft, from the front end I can't see a way to restart work on that draft. I can only see how to edit the draft from the back end?

- The preview post option doesn't seem to be working and just produces a "400 Couldn't find the blog entry you were looking for" option. This is admittedly before I changed away from using the JCE editor to the built-in block editor to compose my posts.

- Is it possible to downgrade to 3.x by installing it over the top of 5.x, keeping all my blog entries? I'm really sorry but I just don't like the interface changes in 5.x and the new features are overkill for my needs.

Thanks,

Dominic
Hello Dominic,

I've checked your site and seems like I can't replicate the preview post issue. I can see the preview instead of 400 error. As for the save draft, you can see your posts here: http://screencast.com/t/DZxY67GU0 . I'm sorry but once you upgrade to EB5, you can downgrade it unless you have the full backup for your site. This is because EB5 has changed a lot of table structure.

This is happening to me if I use the preview post option from the back end. I get an error 400. All I'm doing is clicking 'preview post' the pop up opens and gives the error.

Hello Peter,

When you were trying to display the preview from the backend, did you logged in as the same user in the frontend? You can't view it because you have no access to that post unless you have logged in as the user who create the post. Please give it a try.

So, I've followed this thread with interest, particularly about the issue of seeing drafts from the front end. Nik, you indicate above that one should be able to see draft posts from the front end by going to blog posts under settings in the toolbar. I tried that, have 4 draft posts and none of them shows up except for the one post I created as admin. The other posts were created by the blogger. Based on this, it seems you need to be logged in as the post creator to see your posts from the front end. Is this correct?

Hello Rich,

Yes, you need to be logged in as the post's author to be able to see the list of drafts.
