EasyBlog 5.2 - should it take so long to upgrade?

I started to upgrade to this latest version and had to download a new launcher package, so far so good.

Now having started the actual installation the Downloading Installation Files was a success but now its stuck on Initiallising Database.

I know you suggest getting a cup of coffee while its all going on but this looks like its stuck.

What do I do next?
Hey Peter,

Is it still rendering for you? Can I try to perform the upgrade for you on your site to try this out?

Hey Peter,

Hm, there's something strange with the MySQL php connector on your site as it seems to be returning a version that supports utf8mb4 charset in the database but the MySQL server does not. I have applied a temporary fix on your site and the upgrade is fine now.

Is it possible for you to leave the access open so that we can run some diagnostics on your site (it will not affect the operation on your site), we just need to figure out why is PHP reporting an incorrect version.
