Hey there,

You can do all these at Template which is at Dashboard of EasyArticle on the frontend as shown in the screenshot.

Make sure you have enabled a menu item type which is called 'Dashboard' under EasyArticles.

Hi Erwin,

Thanks for your reply. I know about the dashboard and I read the doc. We already created the site own default templates. I am speaking about Easyarticle pre-created templates that are loading automatically when users, with author access, are composing their own articles.

1- We don't want to show the Easyarticles pre-created templates.
2- When selecting the template the user has no option to cancel the first step of posting an article. We don't see any close button or cancel button. The only option is to use the browser backup.
Thanks & kind regards,
Agnes

Please also note that the default templates pre-created by Easyarticles component don't show either on the dashboard > templates>templates.
This is normal for the author access as the ACL block the access. But when using super user access, they don't show either.

Hey there,

1- We don't want to show the Easyarticles pre-created templates.

It can't be deleted by default as it is a system template.

In order to do that, you can change the value of `system` column to zero in your database table which is #__ea_templates so that you can delete it all of it after that.

Take note that you need to replace the #_ with your table prefix.

2- When selecting the template the user has no option to cancel the first step of posting an article. We don't see any close button or cancel button. The only option is to use the browser backup.
Thanks & kind regards,
Agnes

We will do something about it and I will log this into our issue tracker.

Hi Erwin,

Thank you for your reply. Located the ea system templates on the database. Before editing it, I would like to know the following:
A - Why the ea pre-created templates don't show on the dashboard>templates>templates display when using super user access like your own screenshot shows? It would be simpler that way.
B - On myphpadmin can I simply delete or unpublish each system ea-template? I tried to change the system field for each to zero, but no succes.
C- When the system ea_templates are deleted, will new EA version updates reinstall them?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

A - Why the ea pre-created templates don't show on the dashboard>templates>templates display when using super user access like your own screenshot shows? It would be simpler that way.

Currently those core template only can manage by the owner which is your original site admin. http://take.ms/UH5b8
I will discuss with the team regarding this and see whether we can change this behaviour in next version.

B - On myphpadmin can I simply delete or unpublish each system ea-template? I tried to change the system field for each to zero, but no succes.

You can simply delete those core template from this table #__ea_templates , it will not affect any other thing.
and I will discuss with the team regarding this and see whether we can change this behaviour in next version.

C- When the system ea_templates are deleted, will new EA version updates reinstall them?

It will not install back those core template when you update to next version.
