Upgrade failed

I need to know if every time I upgrade this site will fail?

installed RC 2.1 and site seems to be working but I can not upgrade to the latest version???

The reason that you had issues is because you upgraded from a beta release and a quick fix is to run the SQL query at https://stackideas.com/forums/es-v2-1-2-error-after-update

seems to be working for now??

Not sure what happened.. I just updated the stable release and did not run the
ALTER TABLE `#_social_clusters_categories` ADD `container` tinyint(3) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0;

Not sure if I should?

What do you recommend?

You need to run this in phpmyadmin and replace #__ with your database table prefix.
