Good morning, guys!

I’ve been using EasySocial a year ago and had to put my project aside… now I’m back with a new subscription and I must say it got even better - in the way it works and the way it looks. Congrats, guys!

Spent this day configuring everything, but there are a few things I could not find in the forum or documentations… so I wonder you can help me on these:

1) Is it possible for EasySocial not to offer any “Profile Cover” by default? For it to be blank (as the profile picture) in case the user doesn’t feel like choosing one at the very first moment?

2) I disabled Points and Achievements Systems under General Settings, also set to “No” the displaying of Points and Badges under Theme>Profile configuration. But “Achievements” still appear on the Filters section under My Profile. Is there a configuration I’m missing?
(…by the way, it’s really nice and useful the amount of fine-tuning possible under Theme configuration - thank you, guys.)

3) I really appreciate the built-in geolocation feature - although here it’s not exactly precise (didn’t try from anywhere else so far). But my question is: how can I make “Address” (with “Detect My Location” button) be Required? My project is based on this, so it would be extremely important to me to make it Required while registering. (from all the Custom Fields, this seem to be the only one without “Required - Yes/No” option on it’s core settings…)

4) I left Password field appearing during editing in case users want to change it. Then, when I enter my Edit Profile page (under any user) and make any update, it forces me to create a new password. Everytime. No matter what I edit there - actually, even without changing anything - when hitting the Save button it will give the error message and point “Password cannot be empty.”

For now it's all!
Thank you in advance, and have a nice day!

P.S.-> Please orient me if this thread was not well developed, or if it would be better (for you and other users) if divided in 4 different threads, with different (and more specific) Titles. Thank you again!

Consider questions 1 and 3 already solved.
I'm struggling now with the passwd issue on Edit Profile, and to get rid of Achievements filter.
If I solve them also, I'll update here.

Hi Daniel,

2) I disabled Points and Achievements Systems

You need to disable the badge application from your backend > easysocial > applications in order for you to remove the achievements filter on profile page.

4) Password fields issue

I just tried to replicate the issue in my local instance by showing password fields during the profile editing but it seems like I am able to save the profile without having the need to key in some data inside the password field. Perhaps you can provide us the steps on how can we replicate the issue here?

Thank you for instructions on how to disable the Filter from the Applications list.

Now, about the password issue, it's still the same. The only way I found to "fix" it was by hiding it from "Edit Profile".

What happens is: if any user go to "Edit Profile" from the frontend and change anything (for instance, only the timezone), when hitting the "Save" or "Save and Close" button it will give an error message (screen shot attached), saying there are some fields I can not leave blank. And when scrolling up to see what's wrong, it's pointing to the password field (to which I didn't do anything) saying "Password cannot be empty." - screen shot also attached.

Really need support on this; it's important for users to have the possibility of changing their own passwords... but, so far, I have to keep it hidden from Edit.

Thank you again!

P.S. - Actually, even without editing anything. If I click "Edit Profile", and then click on "Save" without doing anything, it will give me the password error.

Hey Daniel,

This is actually not an issue with EasySocial. I believe you have some sort of password manager installed on your browser? This plugin or the browser itself is trying to auto populate the password for you. This happens to me sometimes too.

There is no way around this unfortunately as we have tried many ways to prevent the browser / browser's plugin from auto populating the field. Unless the field type is a textbox and not a password field which also poses another problem because anyone walking behind you can see your cleartext password.
