Hi guys,

Im getting quite frustrated trying to find any documentation about the ES Mini Header. On my dev site (Joomla) it currently sits at the BOTTOM? of each and every article page. It appears to show a single user whether that user is logged in or out.

I don't even know what this thing is for. Is there any documentation I can read which will explain this thing, what its for and how to control it please?

many thanks,

Paula
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I already help you disabled this plugin Content - EasySocial from your backend, it shouldn't appear that user header on your article page now.

Hi Arlex,

Many thanks for your excellent changes to our site.

Can you helpp me to start to understand things properly though by telling me what the mini header is for?

Also how you removed it and any other documentation you can point me to would be good thanks.

Hello Paula,

Once you have EasySocial installed, we also have a content plugin installed too. This plugin would add a mini header on articles generated on your site.

The mini header is somewhat of a social toolbar that allows visitors to view some of the author's details on a mini heading

Hi Mark,

Sounds great. How is it controlled? Is there any documentation?

Hello Paula,

We don't have a documentation for that particular plugin yet but if you want to turn it on / off, you can go to Joomla's Plugin Manager, and enable the "Content - EasySocial" plugin

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. It does look useful. I will create some category exceptions and use it elsewhere on the site.

Could you explain which user is shown on it when a user is not logged in.

Hm, not entirely sure about what your question is but this mini header would appear for everyone on the site regardless if they are logged in or not

If you want the plugin to only appear to logged in users, you could change the plugins permission, as you can see here, http://take.ms/KI87L . This is the default behavior on how one could restrict permissions in Joomla

I think I understand it now. Its an author box and displays the author of the particular post. It seems more useful to easyblog than to easysocial but useful nevertheless.

I will later be adding a blog to this site and will use easyblog. This will be useful at that stage. Thanks for your help.
