Hello

We assigned our ES profile 'Supplier' to 2 groups (Registered & Suppliers) both of which have no ACL permission to create new discussions on EasyDiscuss.

However, we have posted the EasyDiscuss search module on our site and enabled the 'Ask a question', and users with the profile 'Supplier' are able to create new posts which should not be the case.

We thought this was a bug with the EasyDiscuss search module, but we noticed that they can also access the New Post button in categories .
Yes, it is a bug, by right it shouldn't show the ask button on the category and the search module there.

I will log into the issue tracker.

After check further, the category page "new post" button is respected from the category ACL permission rules (screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/9r7V8dDbcUjh8SRWb0psR9UrjPvW0e )

If you want to make all the existing categories have the same ACL permission, I would suggest you tick the "Inherit ACL permission from this category from the global category ACL settings" option for each of the categories so that you can manage to configure one time it here https://cleaningcountry.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&view=settings&layout=categories .

But the new post button from module one, i will log this issue into the issue tracker.

Hi Arlex

We have updated like your screenshot and the new post no longer shows for categories. But it still shows for the search module when 'Ask question' button is enabled.

It appears the search one is a bug
