I have a couple of issues with the Easy Discuss integration.

Easy discuss actions are not appearing in the easysocial stream. If I check in the admin panel i can see the activities shown in the stream history.

The second issue I have relates to the conversations feature. I have the 'Use EasySocial Conversations' setting enabled but clicking on the conversations button takes me to the easydiscuss messages and not the EasySocial messages.

It seems as if the integration of ES and ED has not been successfully carried out, not sure why as the installation went fine. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the settings on the ED > integrations > ES settings page but to no avail.

Hi Ezrul.

I managed to 'Fix' the integration issue by installing the EasyDiscuss app for Easysocial, after this the stream items started working.

To be honest, I was expecting a much more streamlined integration process, in fact what I actually expected was for the integration work out of the box without me having to install and enable non-core apps to get the expected behavior. This expectation is also alluded to by the inclusion of settings to modify how EasyDiscuss actions are posted to the EasySocial stream within the EasyDiscuss admin panel. Whats even worse is that none of this is mentioned in the documentation, I only discovered it after trawling though the forums.

Personally I would like to see these apps / integrations installed and enabled by default, much easier to disable them than to try and figure out why they are not working.

Regarding the 'conversation' integration, if the intent is for users to click on the PM button near the users avatar why is there a setting in the admin panel to substitute the EasyDiscuss conversations with the EasySocial ones? Sounds like a bug to me

I will simply disable it until you can fix it.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've checked the user with name Mick Percy and it seems like the activity stream that associated with easydiscuss is generated properly. Check my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-24_1304.png . Am I missing something here?

The conversation integration is work by clicking on the "PM" button near the user avatar in easydiscuss and send the conversation directly to his easysocial conversation message. http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-24_1308.png

However we admitted that there are some flaw in the easydiscuss integration such the conversation toolbar not redirecting to easysocial conversation. We will take this issue into consideration and hopefully will improve it in the future release of easydiscuss. Thank you for your kind understanding
