We have a members only forum on this site. Normally when a new discussion is posted all the members get notified by email and then they click the "Read this discussion" button that then sends them to the login page of the website. After logging in they are normally sent to the discussion. However now they are being sent to their "Edit your Profile" page. This is confusing some of them as they think they are being forced to edit their profile for some reason.
If a member logs into the site directly (not through the email) they are sent to a Members Dashboard which is the correct redirect. Any ideas on why the the forum email link is forcing the redirect to the Profile page?
We are using the latest EasyDiscuss version (4.0.15).

Thanks
Hi there,

It would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues. Please advice.

Hi there,

It seems that your 'System - SSLRedirect' that caused this issues to happen as you have set your login item into ' SSL Menu-Items ' on this plugin as shown http://take.ms/JNi33. I have remove it and it is redirected correctly now.

BY the way, honestly, i dont know why and what is that exclusion for, if you required it, it would be best if you can consult with that service provider regarding this and see how it goes

Please advice.

OK..thanks for figuring that out.
The SSL redirect plugin is used for setting which pages we need the SSL cert on. There is no need for us to have the SSL Cert on the entire site and for performance it is better to have it only pages that need it.
I will look into a workaround.
