I have set up easy blog and as a super user everything works great

I want to give a few people access to the blog and be able to set their social accounts up etc etc....

they are set as "manager" in Joomla but when they log in (backend) they dont get the easyblog option in the menu..

when i go to easyblog/acl in the backend it says....

To create assigned privileges, change the filter to assigned

under my filter is only..

User Groups
User

how do you assign privileges?

screen shot attached
Hello Chris,

In order to assign user privileges in easy blog you may go to your joomla backend > easy blog > bloggers ( as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/nzZIdjIc ) > select the user that you want to give privileges > From there you may set the user privileges as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/fpwsqdH8AGKD .

Hello Chris,

Regarding "they are set as "manager" in Joomla but when they log in (backend) they dont get the easyblog option in the menu" actually EasyBlog have 2 type of ACL and the one you're requested is located here: http://screencast.com/t/jpvZ9BNJqThB . Select the "manager" user type and allow their access.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

That kind of works but if i give access to manage bloggers they can then edit all Joomla members not just their own is there any way to just give them access to just their own profile settings?

many thanks

Hello Chris,

I believe that cannot be done. They will have the ability to manage all blogger and we cannot restrict their access only for their own profile. Solution for that, they can use front page edit profile in which as the same as backend edit profile. You need to enable this at the backend: http://screencast.com/t/HXBm1OaU under Components > Easyblog > Settings > Workflows > General > Users.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.
