Hi everyone.

this is the second issue after upgrade to version 5.

posts are not working properly and updates not working. the URL's in the text box doesn't work, etc.
Hey Charles,

I believe there is some permission issues on the site. Please provide us with the FTP access to check on this. When you upload the launcher, it will actually create a file in the tmp folder. However, in your case, nothing get's created in the temporary folder.

Hey Charles,

Do you have any script / cron that is running which is clearing out the tmp folder? It seems like the file is getting deleted automatically from the tmp folder.

Hey Charles,

I managed to upgrade it but I think there's some real nasty permission issue going on in your site. When accessing EasyBlog's script file, http://www.bcadventist.com/media/com_easyblog/scripts/admin-5.0.28.static.min.js , the server is stating that the file does not exist but using the FTP, I can see the file there.

Hi Charles,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

May I know have you recently update your joomla site to joomla 3.4.4? If seems like all of your javascript file is getting blocked by some sort of security by your server, including the file from joomla itself as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/1EeC0BtaX . When I tried to one of the file listed directly using my browser, your webhosting will return me with the following page, http://screencast.com/t/VPHHIIrP8 .

I have also tried to disabled all of your 3rd party plugins and cleared the cache but the issue is still persisting. Hence we can conclude that this issue is caused by your webhosting itself. Perhaps you can consult with your webhosting service provider and ask them about the javascript permission issue as I mentioned above.

Hey Charles,

I've checked in your Joomla backend, it seems like all the Joomla button is not work , as my colleague already mentioned you in earlier, you can take a look of this 2 screenshots and below attachment screenshot.
- http://screencast.com/t/VPHHIIrP8 (If manually access the file through browser, it show that error)

You also can go to your backend > system > global configuration > click save button , then it will not give you any response for this.

It would be best if you can you consult with your webhosting provider regarding this?

Once this solve it, the Easyblog installation should be work fine.

Hi Arlex.

The buttons was working before I upgraded to .29 --- your colleague had it working. If you look at the front end and check the blog posts and the dates, there are live posts there indicating that it was working. http://www.bcadventist.com/index.php/latest-updates

When I updated to .29 yesterday every button stopped working.

Hey Charles,

You mentioned that colleague that was me, if I recall correctly I already told you that what my suspect is your current Joomla is not fully updated and it seems like your webhosting provider setup something blocked all the script when you load your backend page, so make all the button is not working in your backend, you can take a look of my screenshot below.

[Edited] The reason why when you update to 5.0.29 everything is not working again is because after you trying to update, it actually no go through the installation update process, so everything get messed up.

May i know do you have consult with your webhosting provider regarding this yet? If can keep us updated once you get your hosting response.

By the way, I already manually updated all the latest file in your site again, now you should able to click the login button from your Easyblog toolbar and create a post.

Note: Try get your webhosting provider to help on this before you update next version again.

Looking forward of your response.
