After updating to easyblog 5.0.19 the mod_showcase module I display on my sites front page no longer displays.

Assuming that I may need to update it I created another module but this also does not display.

Confused.

BTW the module in question is 285

hey DeeEmm,

It seems like that showcase module ID 285 is under older version module.

By the way, I have created new showcase module ID 286 , it appear on your frontpage now.

But in my suggestion, it not look good when you assigned to `Top` module position.

Thanks Arlex. Much appreciated. I can change the CSS this is not an issue.

As a question....

Are the modules not updated / installed as part of the update process? I thought that stage 4/5? of the guided update was to install all of the new modules / plugins (it asked me to select checkboxes for which modules to install / update - I left all checked - as per default). If this is the case then your update script is not updating the modules.

Best regards

Hey DeeEmm,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

You're welcome, in my opinion you shouldn't change the css code in the module file, because it will override if you update to new version in the future.

The best way to change this css is apply the css code in your current template css file -> JoomlaFolder/templates/meet_gavern/css/override.css

Hope this helps.

Hey there,

If your custom css save in your current template file e.g. JoomlaFolder/templates/meet_gavern/css/override.css

It will not affect when you update to next new version.

Arlex.

Like I have already said, I am well aware of how to override the CSS, I have already told you that this is not an issue. If you care to take a look at the page source you would see that I already have CSS overrides in an override.css file, it is standard Joomla template practice.

My original question related to the update process....

Are the modules not updated / installed as part of the update process?

Is this question too difficult? I have now asked it three times, hopefully third time lucky!

Just trying to get an understanding of your update process for future reference. If it's a bug, then no issues I'm sure you guys will address it. If it is not a bug and I have to manually download and update modules and plugins then at least I can plan to do this with each update.

Best regards.

Hey DeeEmm,

I am sorry that misunderstand your previous reply

Yes, if you checked all the modules and plugins from the installation stage 4 , it will get update all the module and plugins to latest.

If you have the issue for this, can you try describe which module you have modified, then we can help you update to new version and see these modules is it not get updated.

By the way, we will release another new release soon.
