Easy blog dashboard menu

Hi,

I downloaded the easyblog dashboard module and added it to es-sidebar-bottom of my easy social site. I have two questions;

1. The dashboard appears on the sidebar of the timeline (named community on my site). However it doesn't appear on the sidebar of individual profiles. How can I achieve this?

2. For some reason, there is no button under the notes application to write a new note. Is there any way I can just add this to the dashboard? So users can access it via the dashboard module and then notes are saved under the notes application? If it can't be done via the dashboard, is there any other way to do it? Module? Link? Willing to try any option as I really want the notes application to be available on my site.

Hi Rukaiya,

I have helped you put this in your site. Please do understand that this is a customization and it will get override when you updating EasySocial to the latest. Please backup these 2 files:
/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/notes/themes/default/profile/default.php
/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/notes/themes/default/profile/default.js

I have helped you fix the first issue. Can you verify is this what you trying to achieve?

Regarding your second issue, I can't understand you well. Perhaps you can explain more so that we can assist you better. At dashboard, you need to have the app widget on the sitebar. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/M2b1fm8mznZB .

Thank you for your quick response, and for solving the first issue - works perfectly.

Regarding the second issue ... Let's take your screenshot as an example. I have the notes application on my sideboard (although I've renamed it scribbles). The issue is, when I click on notes... The "create new note" button at the top right of your screenshot is missing on my site. I'm not sure what I did to make it disappear or if I ever had it to begin with. So my question is, can I add "create a new note" to the dashboard? Or as a module? Or link? I just need users to have a button to click to create a new note because at the moment, it is not possible.

I hope this makes a bit more sense now

Hi Rukaiya,

Thanks for the clarification. I have inspected your site and it seems you have done some customization to the code. I believe your customization have breaks some of EasySocial layout. I have apply some fix on your site and here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/BBOOizk0nc5 . Can you please let us verify for us is this what you're trying to achieve here?

By the way, here I attached backup of your older code in case you want to have it.

Amazing, thank you so much! Could you please do the same thing for the profile page? The button shows up when I click notes via timeline, but not via individual profiles.
