if you want to run a blog on your site with easyblog then yes, you'd need to buy a license for it.
the template you purchased will later change the design for this area but it needs the component (in this case easyblog) to work at all.

i have just bought easyblog component, the download to joomla worked out.
Now I have downloaded the JA Fixel theme for easy blog.
For the next step I have to upload folder Components to my Joomla_site_path. (should be right, if I see folder ja_fixel in Joomla_site_path/components/com_easyblog/themes)

does anyone know what has been meant by Joomly-site-path?

This is very important in order to choose the right template for my blog.
