After the latest update (5.1.7) clicking the RSS Feed in our Public News area is now requiring you to login to the site despite the fact that it is set to allow the public to subscribe to it. This is causing issues because we use the RSS to push posts to social media. However if we login and then grab the RSS link it only tries to get the members posts (different category) which we do NOT want to go out.
I've tried in my locally, it seems that RSS feed link is view-able for public user without login.

Can you update your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

And point us which page RSS feed link you trying to access?

The RSS Feed is viewable to public but when you click on it, it forces you to login. We have other sites that do not force you to login (works properly). I can't find any difference in the settings.

Forces login: http://elkcreekfirefighters.com/news
Does not force login: http://fountainvalleypoa.com/news/fvpoa-news

OK..never mind, I figured it out. It was only happening on one of our templates.
Taking the RSS feed URL and inserting it in the Feedburner URL fixed the issue.
No idea why our other templates didn't need this.
