When adding an email link in a conversation, once Easysocial sees the @ it highlights the following, creating a link. It defaults to only one decimal so that if an email contains for instance, "xxx@nc.rr.com", the last part, the .com is left off the hyperlink so when you click on it, you don't get the correct email address.

Is there a setting that I need to change, or can I shut off email links specifically, so that my users don't have this issue?

Thank you.

I didn't include site access, as this seems to be a programming function. If you need access please let me know.

Thanks..Gary
Hello Gary,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here. Looks like there is indeed a bug especially when it has more than a single punctuation. Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/string/ and see if the problem still persists?

Thanks so much Mark! As usual, excellent service and even on your holiday!

The file seems to have fixed the behaviour. Hopefully this will be rolled out to all in the next update?

Best,

Gary

You are most welcome Gary! Yep, this is fixed internally as well and it will be fixed on the next release.

Our forums are linked to our internal issue tracker and this is one of the reasons why we explicitly want you to post a single issue per forum post so that we can also refer back to the issue tracker against your forum post in the event something goes wrong
