Hello,
I have a problem. My site is in english and in german.
I have categroies which can only viewed by germans and some only by english.
All of my operators are germans and only they can create new topics.
So if one of them creates a new topic ina categorie which is for english people, the emails are in german.
I want a posibility where you can decide which language the email should have.

Regards Rico
Unfortunately that was not possible to allow user to decide which email language should be sent out.

The current default behaviour is, the email content language will follow what is your current default site language.

For example :
- If your site default language set to show English, so the system will load English language into the email content.
- If the user himself already set the default language from their user profile e.g. German, so the email language will follow what their set and what language their view on the page.

This is what my suggestion :
1. setup multilingue on your site e.g. English and German, you can follow this documentation here : https://www.templaza.com/blog/how-to-create-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-3/68

2. Also need to setup a few Easydiscuss menu item for your English and German language
- Easydiscuss - frontpage menu item
- Single category menu item

3. If you follow that documentation, i believe you already display the language switcher module on the site, so if the user want to post a discussion post in English category , they have to switch this site language from the module to English, so they can able to see the English category like what you set your single category menu item just now.

4. based on this setup, I believe you can solve the email content issue.

Sorry but that did not solve my problem. Because i have only a few people who are allowed to craete new topics.
They complaines that they have to change the language every time they eant to craete a german or a english one.
So is there no posibility that the email language is the same language which is set in the profil from them who get the email?

Best Regards
Rico

I just tested in my locally, it did show correctly based on what their set from their user profile but may i know how their manage to change their default language setting from their profile.

By the way, this is what i tested in my locally, perhaps you can check my attached screenshot below, it did respected user default language as what their set.

Perhaps you can provide us with your following site details at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

- Joomla backend access
- provide us one of the user account which can create post
- FTP access

Oke so the language of the email is dependent from the conten language or Frotend language.
So is there a posibilty that i can buy this function. So that i can decide if i create a new topic that the creator can decide with a dropdown menu which language th e-mail should have?
Is there a posiblity to buy a chargeable extension for easy disucuss?
thanks right now
Best Regards
Rico
