Hi,

after a complete overhaul of our site we have many EB entries to be redirected and that's why we subcribed to Yireo's Dynamic 404.
All extensions are installed and while testing we have this error msg:

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '.../components/com_easyblog/helpers/router.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5.4/lib/php') in /.../plugins/dynamic404/easyblog/easyblog.php on line 121

Can you provide us the missing file(s) in /com_easyblog/helpers/ folder, pls?
N.B. In my earlier post I mentioned that when installing EB latest the helper folder did not install at all. I needed to upload it.

Thanks in advance
Hi Trea Tijmens,

Thanks for the heads up on the new updates from dynamic404

Regarding your issue, I've re-enabled your dynamic404 plugin for EasyBlog but i dont see any php error when access to your EasyBlog. I also tried to give invalid url but the redirection seems working correctly. Not sure if I've miss anything but may i know how can i replicate the error?

Please advise.

Hi Trea Tijmens,

In EasyBlog 5.0.x, we no longer use this file 'JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/helpers/router.php'. For now, you might want to temporary disable your dynamic404 plugin because your this dynamic404 is not compatible with EasyBlog 5.0.

We will contact the developer of this dynamic404 plugin and we will work out something with them to address this issue.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

many thanks for your reply, but we can not disable D404 and we lots of old EB entries to redirect.
Is it an option to downgrade EB to an earlier version, pls? What do you think?

If it is possible, wht could the recommended route?
Uninstall EB and reinstall an older version, or just reinstall older version over EB 5?

Thanks

Hi Trea Tijmens,

Can you pass me your FTP account so that I can see if I can add a hotfix to your dynamic404 plugin?
Please advise.

Hi Trea Tijmens,

We actually sent an email to info@yireo.com regarding the file changes in EasyBlog 5.0. Below is the email content from our marketing guy

Hi guys,

Justin here, from Stack Ideas’ marketing team. Our developers have informed us about an issue related with the integration between Dynamic404 for Joomla! and EasyBlog 5. Upon further inspection, we’ve noticed that your extension is using these files :

JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php
JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/helpers/router.php

Both of these files are no longer used in EasyBlog 5. You will need to change it to this file :

JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/easyblog.php

I’ve included our developers in this conversation; should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to inquire from us.

Thank you and looking forward to your response.

We are actually waiting their response on our email

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

just received a reply from Yireo: they updated their Dynamic404 plugin for EasyBlog just today.
Can be downloaded from here:
https://www.yireo.com/software/joomla-extensions/dynamic404/downloads/204/task,download/file,ZHluYW1pYzQwNC9wbGdfZHluYW1pYzQwNF9lYXN5YmxvZ19qM3guemlw

I will not install now, not to create a conflict while you investigate.

Many thanks for your time and effort to resolve it

Hi Sam,

I really appreciate your time spent on this.

In the meantime I quickly installed & tested the update on the dev copy and found that it redirects, but not to the same EB post unfortunately. Joomla articles are still fine.

So from now on it is placed on the desk of Yireo :-)

BTW: Many thanks for updating the ./components/com_easyblog/helpers/ folder, because I see that the updated plugin still requires the router.php

Thanks again and have a nice evening!

Hi Trea Tijmens,

You are welcome.

BTW: Many thanks for updating the ./components/com_easyblog/helpers/ folder, because I see that the updated plugin still requires the router.php

Actually i did look into the source code of the updated plugin, in the update plugin, look like Yireo added a safe checking on the /helpers/router.php whether the files exists or not before required the php file. I guess that is to make compatible with EasyBlog 3.9 and 5.0

Anyway, do let us know if you need our help on this matter and we will be happy to assist you

Have a nice day!
